| We’re in peak veggie season for the next several weeks! They are healthy for us and most of us don’t eat enough of them. Today is the time to start eating a wider variety of veggies and bring intention into everyday eating while they are plentiful and in peak flavor. |

| Note: nearly all our produce is grown and sold here on our farm, the few things we don’t grow are grown by one of our local partner farms. We are a small, family farm and most of you have gotten to know us over the years, so you know and can trust where your food comes from. We adhere to the USDA food safety practices in our growing and packaging. As always, we recommend you wash your produce before consuming. |

Strawberry Day 2026
Corey Lake Orchards and River Valley Farms co-hosted Michigan State University Extension’s Strawberry Day 2026. Strawberry growers and agritourism operators from throughout Michigan learned from each other and MSU Extension staff on various topics such as: strawberry production, renovation, equipment, integrated pest management, agritourism, and direct sales of strawberries. The day began with a tour of the strawberry fields at River Valley Farm and continued at CLO where they enjoyed lunch and bakery desserts, and explored the market, herb and floral gardens, bakery, and other areas.

Produce Update
Blueberries, Already Picked. We have already picked blueberries from Brookside Farms, our long-time supplier. Blueberry season should continue through early August. Now is the time to get them in bulk. They are very easy to freeze! Just put the box directly into your freezer, (do not wash), take out what you need and rinse them off.
Blueberries, U-Pick. Just a reminder, we lost our blueberry crop to the May frosts this year. However, if you would like to pick your own, we recommend family-friendly Brookside Farms. Check their website for information. They have several locations: Paw Paw, Gobles, and Martin/Otsego. |

| Peaches. Southwest Michigan lost most of their peaches in the January freeze, so we are hoping to get peaches from farms further north whose crops did not get hurt. We’ll keep you posted on when and what we can get.
Sweet Corn. Summer’s delight, is finally making its late debut starting Thursday! We appreciate your patience! Sometimes waiting is what makes the moment sweeter. |

Bulk Produce
We will have produce available in bulk quantities for those who can, freeze, or preserve food. We encourage you to preserve food as it is a healthier option than processed and you know the source of your food. See the food preservation page on our website for tips and how-to information.
We maintain lists of people interested in various produce and will contact you when they are available. Please stop by or call us to be added to a list.
- Blueberries – currently available, 5- and 10-pound boxes, just walk in or call first to ensure we have what you want in stock.
- Pickling cukes – preorder, one-peck minimum (quarter of a bushel)
- Green beans – preorder, half bushel minimum
- Bell peppers – preorder, half bushel minimum
- Specialty peppers – preorder, one-peck minimum (quarter of a bushel)
- Canning tomatoes – preorder, half bushel minimum
- Sweet corn – preorder, 5-dozen bag minimum

Fruit – blueberries
Assorted summer vegetables – beets, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers, mini cucumbers, garlic, green bell peppers, green beans, kohlrabi, onions, sweet corn, tomatoes, mini tomatoes, yellow summer squash, zucchini, and other veggies
Bankson Lake Farms produce – lettuces, spinach, kale, and mushrooms, arriving Friday morning
Ice cold slushies – apple cider, blueberry lemonade, peach
Fresh herbs – many types ready for you to pick from the Herb Garden
Fresh cut flower bar – Make your own bouquets from assorted flowers. Available Thursday through Sunday. Below, a customer with her custom-made arrangement. |

Bakery
- “Take and bake” frozen fruit pies – made from assorted fruit, take home to bake.
- Weekend Special: Mini size fruit pies, already baked, ready to eat, starting Thursday until sold out. Flavors are apple, blueberry, cherry, peach, strawberry-rhubarb
- Assorted cookies, breads and muffins
- Blueberry-zucchini bread – available for a limited time, weekends only
- Donuts – Saturday and Sunday only – in buttermilk, blueberry, and cherry
- Focaccia breads – Basil and Tomato and Olive-Rosemary, made in the bakery using our farm’s produce. Available Thursday until sold out.
- “Take and bake” frozen Strombolis – 10 different types, ranging from breakfast to pizza to traditional styles. Take home to bake.
- Cinnamon rolls and cinnamon bread – frozen, take and thaw, find in our freezer.

Grocery
Enjoy our many grocery products! Stop by and peruse our assortment of chips, cheeses, jams, jellies, honey, maple syrup, meats, vanilla ice cream, gluten-free, and more. Many produced in Michigan!
The summer heat is a great time to enjoy homemade, local ice cream! We carry pure, vanilla ice cream from Plainwell Ice Cream Company. It goes great with our fruits, a dessert topping, or just by itself! This third generation, family-owned business in Plainwell, MI creates exceptional ice cream, all by hand. |

Alcohol Offerings
Spirits. Find apple, peach, and pear brandy; vodka; and white whiskey.
Wines. Nice assortment to choose from – dry, sweet and semi-sweet wines in whites and reds
Hard Ciders. Assorted flavors: blueberry, cherry, maple, peach pear, rhubarb, semi-sweet apple, and sweet apple

We have a lot of cucumbers coming in right now from the field as well as our specialty types from the greenhouse.
