Welcome back to many of our lakeside customers! We enjoyed seeing you over the holiday weekend and look forward to seeing others soon.
We are wrapping up our Spring harvest season and are in the transition period between spring and summer. Over the next several weeks, more summer-like produce will become available, including strawberries!
We have many gifts, grocery items that are Michigan made and locally-grown, and increasing our bakery offerings. Stop by our farm market and peruse what we have for sale. |

Asparagus and Rhubarb
The asparagus and rhubarb season is quickly winding down. Enjoy these fresh tastes of spring while you can! We hope to have it through the first week of June, weather permitting.
If you need larger quantities for freezing, canning, or pickling, now is the time to get it! Receive a discount when buying 10 pounds or more. Please check our FB page, website or call us before you come out to make sure it is available. We are happy to take orders at (269-244-5690) and we will call you when ready to pick up! |

Strawberry Update
The strawberry season, the unofficial beginning of summer, is just starting. We will be picking a few berries as they ripen, available by the quart only. We picked some today (Friday) and will try to pick again on Sunday.
We will try to have strawberries available by the quart each day we are open.
With strawberries being in high demand as the season starts, we recommend you call us and have us hold some for same-day pickup. Please note that we are not taking advance orders and have switched to “same day, set aside” orders only. See more on our ordering process below.
Please watch for updates before driving out as things may change throughout the day. We know your time and the cost of fuel is valuable and we don’t want you to come for berries if we are sold out.
We will primarily be using our Facebook page to communicate the availability of strawberries throughout the day and the season. You can also check our website or call us (269)-244-5690.
We are growing a limited number of strawberries on our farm and will be getting most of them locally from River Valley Farm in Constantine as we have done for the past several years. We will offer limited u-pick; details coming soon. River Valley Farms also offers u-pick; please check their Facebook page for information. |

Ideas for Using Rhubarb and Asparagus
For ideas on using rhubarb and asparagus this week, check out the Rhubarb and Asparagus recipes posted on our website.
Rhubarb Roasted Salmon
This is a fast and easy dish featuring a ginger-rhubarb sauce over your fish fillets. It calls for salmon, but it should be adaptable to other fish fillets. The sauce is part tangy, part sweet. |
|
Skillet Chicken with Rhubarb
In this savory skillet dinner, rhubarb, onions and garlic are simmered with white wine and butter into a rich sauce for browned chicken parts. You can use a whole, cut-up chicken or your favorite chicken part such as thighs and drumsticks. Serve with polenta or rice. |

Thank you for your continued support and for buying local.
