It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  But without snow (or ice!).  Our Holiday Market opens this Saturday and will be open through Saturday, December 13.  We have been as busy as Santa’s elves this time of year transforming our 100-year-old barn into a winter wonderland for your enjoyment!

Stroll through our barn and surrounding areas with a complimentary beverage.  We will have fresh produce; our frozen baked goods; staples like maple syrup, honey, and jams; wines and spirits; gift-worthy creations from local artists; stocking stuffers; and unique vintage holiday decorations you won’t see anywhere else, many of which are for sale.  We also have several unique photo ops for those holiday cards and social media posts.

We have a lot of fresh produce that is perfect for your Thanksgiving dinner side dishes.  And of course, don’t forget to grab your pies to take and bake!  See our list below and finalize your holiday planning!

But the best part of all is that Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming by!  We are so excited to have them return to our farm.  We have apples ready for the reindeer and Santa assures us that the sleigh will glide okay along the frost covered, frozen ground.  See below to make a reservation to meet with the Clauses.

Norton Craft Fair
While you are in the neighborhood, we encourage you to stop and shop at the Norton Craft Fair this Saturday from 9am to 3pm.  They will have many small businesses, food vendors, and the 5th grade silent auction.  Plus, our own Grinch will be there handing out apples during part of the day!  Help support our local elementary school and students!  Norton is conveniently located close by us, making it easy to have twice the shopping pleasure.

See more on their Facebook page.

We have Your Holiday Pies!
This holiday season, enjoy one of our signature fruit pies.  They are frozen, ready for you to “take and bake”.  Flavors include: apple (2-crust), Dutch apple (crumb top), blueberry, cherry, peach, pumpkin, and strawberry-rhubarb.  Pick up some this Saturday for Thanksgiving!
Thursday we made more strawberry-rhubarb pies, they are our top-seller!
An Old-Fashioned Visit with
Santa and Mrs. Claus
Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive this Saturday!
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be returning to Corey Lake Orchards this Saturday!  They are looking forward to taking a break from the seasonal frenzy at the North Pole and escaping to the quietness of our farm.  They have already radioed us from the North Pole asking us to be sure to set aside apples for the reindeer, and fresh lettuce and tomatoes for them!

What makes Santa’s visit to Corey Lake Orchards different from his other stops?

  • He brings Mrs. Claus who also engages in conversation with your child, assists with taking photos, and looks great in photos.
  • Santa has firsthand knowledge of your children and their holiday wishes (thanks to your help of course!)  This only strengthens the magical mystique.
  • Our tastefully decorated vintage setting is a throwback to yesteryear and simpler times.
  • We have more photo opportunities.  In addition to the immediate area by Santa and Mrs. Claus, we have several photo spots with vintage and farm-type decorations that you won’t find anywhere else.
  • Our (amateur) photography staff will take a complimentary photo of your family with Santa, and other areas as time permits, upon request.
  • We provide complimentary refreshments for Santa’s visitors like donuts, coffee, hot chocolate, and mulled cider.
  • Our location is sensory-friendly (there is little noise from other shoppers, families, and traffic), and Santa is quiet (not loud and scary) – a much better setting for children who are already intimidated by the overall Santa experience or have special needs or sensory issues.
  • Family dogs are welcome, too!  Undoubtedly, they will be on their best behavior!
  • While there, shop at our holiday market for apples and squash, brandy and wines, honey, maple syrup products, local artwork and cards, stocking stuffers, and other gifts and decorations.

We are thrilled to have Santa at the farm for this special event!  Please contact us if you have questions: email brenda@coreylakeorchards.com or call (269) 244-5690.

Happenings on the Farm
Transforming the Barn
It takes a lot of work and creativity to transform the old barn into a vintage holiday wonderland!

Where exactly to put all these decorations?  This is just one area of the barn.

Setting up various areas, each area has its own theme.  This is the start of “Santaland”.
We also decorate the market area.
Making Christmas Cookies
The holiday season has arrived!  We’ve started making our holiday cutout cookies.
