| The market is well stocked with a variety of summer vegetables and fruits! This is one of our favorite looks of summer as our market is so colorful with all the summer produce. You’ll see the bright colors of orange carrots, cauliflower, blueberries, yellow summer squash, red tomatoes, green zucchini, brown mushrooms, and fresh flowers! Grab a basket full of colors!! |

| Already baked pies. Due to popular demand, we will be offering our already baked, ready-to-eat mini and regular-size fruit pies (with forks) again this weekend! If there is a particular flavor you would like, please call us at 269-244-5690 to bake and hold for you. We have apple, blueberry, cherry, peach, and strawberry-rhubarb. |

Inviting Spaces. We invite you to rest and enjoy our spaces! Find tables and chairs by the market, the yard, and the onion barn. Grab a slushie, hard cider, bakery goodies, chips, mini tomatoes (they taste like candy), or other treats, and relax with family and friends. Donuts on Saturday and Sunday.

Blueberry Update
Already Picked. We have already picked blueberries from Brookside Farms, our long-time supplier. Blueberry season should continue through early August.
U-Pick. Just a reminder, we lost our blueberry crop to the May frosts this year. However, if you would like to pick your own, we recommend family-friendly Brookside Farms. Check their website for information. They have several locations: Paw Paw, Gobles, and Martin/Otsego.
U-Pick Tart Cherries. If you are interested in picking tart cherries, we recommend you contact Schultz Fruitridge Farms in Mattawan. They expect their tart cherry season to last about 7 more days. Check their website for information. |

Fresh Produce on the Market
Assorted fruit – Lodi apples (tart, makes a great summer applesauce), blueberries
Assorted summer vegetables – beets, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers, garlic, green bell peppers, green beans, kohlrabi, onions, tomatoes, mini tomatoes, yellow summer squash, zucchini, and other veggies
Bankson Lake Farms produce – garlic scapes, lettuces, spinach, kale, and mushrooms, arriving Friday morning
Ice cold slushies – apple cider, blueberry lemonade, and strawberry lemonade
Fresh herbs – many types ready for you to pick from the Herb Garden
Fresh cut flower bar – Make your own bouquets from assorted flowers, sunflowers, and lavender. Available Thursday through Sunday.

Bakery
- “Take and bake” fruit pies – frozen, from assorted fruit
- Weekend Special: Mini and regular size fruit pies – already baked, ready to eat, assorted flavors, starting Thursday until sold out
- Assorted cookies, breads and muffins
- Donuts – Saturday and Sunday only – in buttermilk, blueberry, and cherry
- Focaccia breads: Basil and Tomato and Olive-Rosemary – made in the bakery using our farm’s produce, starting Thursday until sold out
- Strombolis – 10 different types, ranging from breakfast to pizza to traditional styles. Frozen, just take home and bake.
Our signature blueberry and zucchini bread is back for the season starting Friday afternoon! It’s seasonal, only available for a limited time. |

Spirits. Find apple, peach, and pear brandy; vodka; and white whiskey.
Wines. Nice assortment to choose from – dry, sweet and semi-sweet wines in whites and reds
Hard Ciders. Assorted flavors: blueberry, cherry, maple, peach pear, rhubarb, semi-sweet apple, and sweet apple
Try our blueberry hard cider. It’s mouthwatering real blueberry juice blended with dry apple cider for a bold yet balanced flavor. Goes well with meat sticks and cheese! |

Post Hail Update
Several weeks ago, we had hail along with several heavy rainstorms. And we had it all again on Friday night, July 3. With our fruits and vegetables still forming, they are very susceptible to being damaged when hail hits them.
Here’s some examples of yellow summer squash and zucchini picked that show where the hail hit the squash. The squash continued to grow and form scars as they heal.
We know they are not very pretty, and not the ones you’ll select from the squash bin to take home with you. We will separate these and have them for sale in specially labelled “hail marked baskets”. Even though blemished, we hope you’ll take some home and enjoy them just as much as the “pretty” ones.
We share this with you so when you find one or two marks on your squash, or an apple or pear later this season, you will understand how it occurred. Yes, it’s what we deal with daily with Mother Nature being in charge. |
