General Information on U-Pick Fruit
Time to Allow – Depending on what you are picking and the quantity, plan to spend 30 minutes to 1.5 hours for your visit. You will want time to pick your fruit, allow your group to experience the market area and take some great photos.
What to Wear – We are a working farm. Our fields, orchards, and vineyards may have rocks, sticks, holes, uneven terrain, tall weeds, biting insects, sometimes poisonous plants, and strong sun. Please dress accordingly with protective pants, shirts, sunscreen, hats, athletic or sturdy shoes (not sandals).
What to Bring – Refreshments and snacks (we also have bottled water and goodies for purchase). Sit at one of our picnic tables if you wish.
Hand washing – Per food safety laws, we have hand washing stations available for you to use before and after you pick.
Eating fruit – Eating or sampling of fruit and or other food items in the fields and orchards is not permitted in accordance with food safety laws. Our picnic areas will be open, and food can be consumed while sitting there.
We want your picking experience to be fun and educational. If this is your first time picking, please let our staff member know and they will be happy to explain how the fruit grows and the best way to pick it.
